About Paperzone…

Paperzone has been a ‘Bricks and Mortar’ store in Hamilton, New Zealand since 2008.

We are pleased to say that as of the 25th April 2020 we are now offering our products on-line. This is very exciting as well as a little daunting…with over 1000 products in store it will take a while to get them online. So please bare with us as we are a work in progress……

We stock a wide array of Papers, including  Paper-Arts, Stamperia, Prima, Graphic 45, Celebr8, Kaisercraft, Heartfelt and 49 & Market just to name a few. We carry a large range of Mixed Media brands including, Stamperia,  Finnabair, Cosmic Shimmer, Tim Holtz, Reeves, Little Birdie, Ranger, Nuvo, Lindys and the list goes on.

Paperzone is well known for its huge range of  Paper-Arts Scrapbooking Paper as well as A4 mixed media sheets. Beautiful boxed flowers, Scrapmatts chipboard titles, words, page elements & stencils, Prima flowers & embellishments. Heartfelt Stamps & Dies, Inks & Spritz and a whole lot more.

Kits are an ongoing addition to Paperzone. We are constantly adding to the assorted collection of the Tracey-Jane Creative Scrapbooking kits and we have just added a varied range of Card Kits designed by Ann & Lisa for Paperzone.  These are now available ‘on-line’ too.

Tracey Reynolds

I am a passionate crafter who has been crafting for as long as I can remember, cake decorating, sewing, patchwork, macrame & cross stitch just  to name a few.

In 2003 I discovered Scrapbooking, which opened up a whole new world for me, enabling me to combine my love of photography and creativity at the same time. It wasn’t long before my passion exploded and I began teaching Scrapbooking classes at various locations in 2004.  Since 2008 I have been teaching an array of different weekly classes at Paperzone in Hamilton.

In August 2017 I became the proud new owner of Paperzone…and was introduced to the ups and downs of retail.   Days have been exciting and full on…designing & creating four classes a week, Saturday workshops, sourcing and ordering exciting new  lines  and of course getting to meet so many lovely people who come  in to the store.

It was my loyal class ladies who encouraged me  to ‘give SENZ a go’ in 2017….so I did!  Although nerve racking I had an amazing time meeting so many new people and doing what I love most…teaching.  2017 also saw the launch of ‘Tracey Jane Creative’ my own range of Scrapbooking Kits and embellishments sold exclusively through Paperzone.

2018 saw Paperzone take on a huge stand and a classroom at the Inaugrul  ‘For Your Inspiration’ (FYI) show at Mystery Creek.  This was an extremely popular event for the papercrafters of NZ.  It showed me that Paperzone is ‘well on its way to greatness’ and that the classes that were being taught inspired others and ‘sold out’ quickly. This was incredibly humbling.

With a husband, six kids, three grandkids, a dog and two cats I’m never really without something to inspire me! Lol.

I use many styles in my scrapbooking from ‘clean and simple’ to ‘full-on’ mess and mixed media, depending on how the mood takes me.

I love layering, texture, mixed media and colour but most of all I love to ‘see’ my photos, as after all, isn’t that why we scrapbook?   To create everlasting memories for those we love.

I look forward to meeting you either in store or at an event sometime soon.

Shirley – Shop Manager

Shirley has been with Paperzone since it began in 2008 under the lovely Patsy Clarkin.  She is the one that keeps the business ticking over and keeps the team on their toes. Extremely effcient and always willing to help. Although Shirley is the first to admit she is ‘not a Crafter’ she knows far more than she lets on.  Always smiling and quick witted Shirley is a huge part of the Paperzone Team.

Ann – Card Teacher Extraordinaire

Ann is a very talented crafter with more years crafting than she can count. Everything from Doll making, quilting, ceramics & much more…..to card creating.  Ann had been coming to classes at Paperzone for a good few years, often showing the ladies some of her gorgeous creations.  There were so many requests from PZ customers who wanted to learn what Ann could do, it was enevitable that in 2017 she became part of the PZ Team

Ann (a great grandmother to 15) teaches her Card Creations for us twice a month on Fridays.

Lisa – Art Enthusiast

Lisa is an incredible Harpest as well as a qualified music teacher, who has an immense passion for Art.  As class interest has grown at PZ Lisa has become another member of the PZ team.  Lisa teaches cards every other Friday alternating with Ann. This works really well as both of their syles are very different.  However, Lisa’s real talent is in Art Journalling…this is a TRUE passion.  The colours, techniques and Art Theory she imparts is amazing. Art Journalling has become so popular that we now have two classes a month.

Courtney & Devon – The Young Ones

The girls are our team of ‘Energiser Bunnies’ always running around getting what ever needs doing, done.  They are both great with the customers, always smiling and keen to learn. It is fabulous having so much ‘young’ energy and input into the shop. Oh and not mention how tech savvy they are!  You will see one of them when you shop on a Saturday as well as at different events.
